The Beta Wave Body Scan Meditation

The Beta Wave Body Scan Meditation in a combination of beta waves with a body scan meditation practice.

Beta waves help to increase our conscious focus and problem-solving skills.

The body scan is a foundational practice that is particularly effective for new practitioners to practice mindfulness while connecting to the body. In the body scan, we systematically guide participants to shift their focus through different parts of the body, noticing sensations as they bring attention to each region. Some sensations are pleasant, some are unpleasant, some are neutral. In this practice we cultivate equanimity, treating all sensations the same, not clinging to pleasant sensations nor averting away from unpleasant ones, simply noticing them and moving on. This practice can help build awareness around how emotions and body sensations are connected, therefore helping to understand and address them. At the same time cultivating mindfulness and increasing equanimity.
