Gamma waves help bind our senses, cognition, and information processing. It improves our learning and perception of the world.

Cultivating compassion meditation, also referred to as loving-kindness meditation or metta meditation is a practice to help generate or invite feelings of goodwill towards self and others. This practice is quite different then the others, in that the participant is asked to actively engage the mind to help generate feelings of compassion. The practice is done starting with someone who loves and accepts you, then inviting feelings of kindness towards the self, and moving to friends and family, to neutral people, to someone with whom you might have a conflict (steering away from anything too traumatic), and finally expanding out to all humans world-wide. Cultivating compassion can help an individual cultivate a more altruistic and positive mindset and can be a great way to help teams bond and remember one anothers humanity.
