Worried Thoughts

Worries, doubts, stress, and anxieties are a normal part of life. When you are able to release the control and tension it makes it easier for you to breath. Constant worrying, negative thinking, and always expecting the worst can take a toll on your physical and emotional health. It can zap your emotional strength, leave you feeling restless, cause trouble with sleep, headaches, stomach issues, give you muscle tension, and make it difficult to concentrate at work or school. You may take your negative feelings out on the people closest to you, self-medicate with drugs and alcohol, or try to distract yourself by being addicted to screen time.

Here are some tips to help you deal with worried thoughts.

1) Engage in an activity that takes your mind off things. Your mind will become clear after a break.

2) Ask yourself what is causing the worried thoughts. You may find that the thought is not valid.

3) Make sure to meditate daily. Research has shown that is helps declutter thoughts giving you greater focus and easier to problem solve issues.

4) Make sure to stay hydrated. Drinking water improves mental health and helps decrease worrying.

5) Choose to focus on positively. It can help you restructure negative thoughts.

6) Talk to a supportive person about your thoughts it helps you to understand your thoughts.
